Tính sinh nhân mụn là gì và những thành phần nào có tính sinh nhân mụn trong mỹ phẩm?

Tính sinh nhân mụn là gì ?

Mụn trứng cá bắt đầu bằng tình trạng lỗ chân lông bị tắc nghẽn.Tính sinh nhân mụn là thuật ngữ khoa học mô tả khả năng gây mụn của một chất nào đó trong mỹ phẩm ( hay còn gọi là comedogenicity.)

Nói cách khác, khi một chất có tính sinh nhân mụn , nó có khả năng làm tắc nghẽn lỗ chân lông và dẫn đến mụn trứng cá.

Các nhà nghiên cứu đã thực hiện 11 nghiên cứu sử dụng phương pháp thử nghiệm để điều tra khả năng gây mụn của hàng trăm thành phần cũng như sản phẩm cuối cùng. Sau khi xem xét đầy đủ, chúng tôi đã xác định được 45 thành phần có khả năng gây mụn.

Các thành phần có tính sinh nhân mụn trong mỹ phẩm

  • Các thành phần gốc rượu có kích thước phân tử lớn hoặc có nhánh có khả năng sinh nhân mụn cao, ví dụ như isocetyl alcohol hay oleyl alcohol.
  • Các phân tử acid béo kích thước lớn và có nhánh có xu hướng dễ sinh nhân mụn hơn, chẳng hạn như acid lauric và acid myristic.
  • Chất làm đặc như silicate, cellulosic polymer và carbomer thường không có tính sinh nhân mụn.
  • Khoáng chất : nhìn chung không sinh nhân mụn, có thể kể đến như đất sét, bentonite, kaolin, talc, oxide sắt, chromium hydroxide và titanium dioxide.

Dầu có tính sinh nhân mụn thay đổi tùy loại:

  • Cao : là bơ cacao và dầu dừa.
  • Vừa : dầu mè, dầu bắp, dầu quả bơ, dầu cây anh thảo, dầu chồn (mink oil), dầu đậu nành và dầu hạt bông.
  • Thấp : dầu olive, dầu hạt đàn hương (sandalwood seed oil), dầu hạnh nhân, dầu hạt quả mơ và một số loại dầu khoáng.
  • Không sinh nhân mụn : dầu hoa rum (safflower oil), dầu hoa hướng dương và dầu khoáng.
  • Các loại dầu khoáng trước đây được xếp vào nhóm có tính sinh nhân mụn từ 0 – 2. Tuy nhiên, ngày nay với công nghệ sản xuất hiện đại, dầu khoáng nguyên chất không có tính sinh nhân mụn.
  • Vitamin E và A có mức độ sinh nhân mụn thay đổi.

Yếu tố nào trong thành phần mỹ phẩm có thể làm tăng nguy cơ gây mụn?

  • Khả năng thấm qua nang lông: một thành phần có thể hòa tan tốt trong dầu và nước thì có tính sinh nhân mụn ít hơn một thành phần chỉ có thể tan tốt trong dầu hoặc nước.
  • Kích thước của phân tử: các thành phần có kích thước nhỏ với trọng lượng phân tử 200 – 300 gram/mol có tính sinh nhân mụn ít hơn so với các phân tử kích thước lớn.
  • Hình dạng của phân tử: các acid béo phân nhánh có tính sinh nhân mụn cao hơn các phân tử thẳng, không phân nhánh.
  • Nồng độ của thành phần trong mỹ phẩm: một số các thành phần được xác định có tính sinh nhân mụn nhưng ở nồng độ thấp chúng lại không có tính sinh nhân mụn. Ví dụ, octyl palmitate 100% có điểm sinh nhân mụn là 3, trong khi đó octyl palmitate 50% chỉ có điểm sinh nhân mụn là 1.
  • Tá dược, dung môi để hòa tan thành phần hoạt tính: với cùng thành phần chính, các tá dược và dung môi khác nhau sẽ dẫn đến tính sinh nhân mụn của sản phẩm khác nhau. Chẳng hạn như một số acid béo nhất định có điểm sinh nhân mụn là 2 khi tan trong dầu hướng dương, nhưng khi tan trong acetone thì điểm sinh nhân mụn xuống bằng 0. Vì vậy, việc xác định tính sinh nhân mụn của một thành phần nhất định nên được đánh giá trong thành phẩm cuối cùng để biết được tính sinh nhân mụn thật sự của thành phần đó

Lưu ý về sáp dầu: Theo quy định của chúng tôi, sáp dầu Vaseline ® sẽ nằm trong danh sách các thành phần cần tránh. Tuy nhiên, kết quả của các nghiên cứu khoa học liên quan đến tính gây mụn của sáp dầu Vaseline ® lại trái ngược nhau. Cụ thể, trong một số nghiên cứu sử dụng REA và phương pháp trên người, nó đã được chứng minh là gây mụn. Tuy nhiên, một nghiên cứu gần đây hơn đã bác bỏ điều này bằng cách chỉ ra rằng phương pháp REA được sử dụng trước đây là không chính xác. Khi được thử nghiệm nhiều lần bằng phương pháp REA cải tiến và thử nghiệm trên khuôn mặt của bệnh nhân bị mụn trứng cá, các nhà nghiên cứu đã chỉ ra rằng sáp dầu Vaseline ® không có khả năng gây tắc nghẽn lỗ chân lông. Do đó, nó không được đưa vào danh sách này. 17
